Vermilion is a small town by a great lake, located on the shores of Lake Erie and
the scenic Vermilion River at Ohio. The city is located thirty-five miles west of Cleveland and twenty miles east of Cedar Point Amusement Park. Vermilion is a picturesque community offering wonderful access to outdoor activities and was named the “Ohio Best Hometowns” in 2013.
The Vermilion Local School District is located in Vermilion with more than 100-year old school history. Founded in 1890, the District consists of three school buildings located on one campus: Vermilion Elementary School, Sailorway Middle School, Vermilion High School. Within the District, teachers are licensed and the student-to-teacher ratio is higher than the state average.
Vermilion Institute of Technology is also one of the school districts. Vermilion Institute of Technology offers associate degrees and short-term certificate programs. Students will typically take one to two years to finish as they need to complete all necessary graduation requirements with a required GPA.
Vermilion Institute of Technology (Vermilion) meets the requirements of Chapter 3332 of the Ohio Revised Code and the standards, rules and regulations of the State Board of Career Colleges and Schools. This certificate of registration grants approval to Vermilion Institute of Technology (Vermilion) to legally offer and solicit students for authorized postsecondary education programs in the State of Ohio.
